PURPOSE:To allow the exact detection of the conditions for a sterilization treatment without receiving the influence of a neutralizing agent by incorporating a pyrimidine compd., hydrazine compd. and org. acid as discoloring components into the above compsn., thereby having the discoloration conditions matching with the treating conditions of the formalin sterilization stage. CONSTITUTION:The indicator compsn. for detecting the formalin sterilization contains the pyrimidine compd., the hydrazine compd. and the org. acid as the discoloration components. For example, 4-amino-5-amimomethyl-2-methyl pyrimidine chloride, 4-amino-6-chloro-2-mercaptopyrimidine, etc., are usable as the pyrimidine compd. For example, hydrazine sulfate, hydrazine benzoate, carbazinic acid, etc., are usable as the hydrazine compd. This compsn. is obtd. by mixing and dispersing the pyrimidine compd., the hydrazine compd. and the org. acid, etc., with and into a vehicle for ink by using a dispersing machine. The resulted indicator compsn. is used by printing in the form of printing ink on a suitable base material, such as paper or synthetic paper, to form a detecting card or directly printing the same on a packaging material for the material to be sterilized. |
