Structured effect material - is wetted and creased and bonded to carrier when dry

To produce structured materials, e.g. for women's garments or curtainings and wall coverings, which can be of fabrics and paper, the material to be structured is wettened and then creased into the required structure and dried while creased. The structured material is laid on a smooth carrier to be stabilised, and durably bonded by adhesive. The materials are pref. woven textiles and woven silks, and paper, which are dyed and can have blended colour dispersions. The carrier is a woven textile fabric, paper or a plastics film. A hot or cold adhesive bonds the structured material to the carrier, applied to the carier. ADVANTAGE - Gives a wide range of effects which can be created, partic. in detailed effects.
