PURPOSE:To obtain a safe and highly reliable motor by judging whether the magnitude of an exciting current component signal or a torque current component signal is smaller than a predetermined value, outputting an alarm signal upon elapse of predetermined time and stopping the operation of an inverter unit based on the alarm signal. CONSTITUTION:If the operation signal is turned ON, exciting current component from a coordinates converting circuit A15 goes to zero upon removal of a connector 33 and does not reach a predetermined value even upon elapse of predetermined time after provision of the operation signal. A current component signal judging circuit 40 makes a judgment whether the magnitude of the current is lower than a predetermined value. When a judgment is made that the magnitude of the exciting current component signal is lower than the predetermined value upon elapse of predetermined time after provision of the operation signal, the current component signal judging circuit 40 provides an alarm signal to a stopping means, i.e., an AND gate 39. |
