PURPOSE:To improve tracking resistance without loosing product value of an electric wire/cable by mixing specific substances within each weight part range, and at least admixing individual specific weight parts of the hydroxide of metal and the metallic salt of fatty acid to the total quantity of the mixed substances. CONSTITUTION:In a flame retardant resin component material composing the insulation body 2 and covering 4 of an electric wire/cable P; (a), (b), and (c) are mixed within each weight part range, and 50-200 weight parts of the hydroxide of metal and 0.5-4 weight parts of metallic salt of fatty acid are at least admixed to the total quantity of 100 weight parts of the mixed substances. That is, (a) is ethylene ethyl acrylate; 59-89 weight parts, (b) is low density polyethylene: 10-30 weight parts, and (c) is grafted substance of linear low density polyethylene or ethylene ethyl acrylate and maleic anhydride: 1-20 weight parts. The low density polyethylene is made super low density polyethylene or linked low density polyethylene. This can obtain an electric wire/cable having excellent tracking resistance without loosing its product value. |
