<p>An intraosseous-endosseous anchorage device (10) for coupling prostheses to bone comprises an elongate root member (12) and a flange member (14) extending outwardly from the root member. Some of the bone engaging surfaces are coated with a porous coating to permit bone tissue ingrowth and stabilization of the anchorage device in place. Embodiments of the anchorage device useful for dental application are described. The anchorage device is particularly useful where limited bone depth is available for placement of an anchoring device.</p> |
