PURPOSE:To improve the cycle life characteristic of a battery by fixing the outer wall of the battery cell of the battery storing an electrolyte with a battery cell fixing jig with a cooling function, and performing battery cell formation. CONSTITUTION:The outer wall of the battery cell 2 of a battery storing an electrolyte is fixed with a battery jar fixing jig 1 having a cooling pipe 3, and battery cell formation is performed. The expanded deformation of the battery cell 2 due to the heat at the time of battery cell formation and the rise of the battery internal pressure is suppressed by the cooling effect and by a correcting action being fixed from the outside by the battery cell fixing jig 1 having the cooing pipe 3, and an electrode plate group is compressed in the battery cell 2 after the battery cell formation is completed, and also the softening and dropping of a positive electrode active material caused by the repeated charge/discharge cycles are suppressed. The cycle life characteristic of the battery can be improved. |
