A piezoelectric transducer (11) incorporated in the pacemaker housing and a rate-control system (12) connected downstream of the transducer detect the parameters of motion due to the load on the body and ensure optimal physiological adaptation of the pacemaker to the patient's given load status. A PLL circuit (13, 15, 16, 17, 18) exploits the patient's day/night rhythm for the purpose of switching on the activity sensor system (10, 12) during the patient's day phase and switching it off during the night phase. This pacemaker is useful for frequency-adapted, one- or two-ventricle stimulation. |
