PURPOSE:To efficiently discharge ozone by connecting an ozone discharging duct to a negative pressure chamber via a gently-widened, bell-mouth-like tube. CONSTITUTION:An electrifying device of the corona discharger type is provided for an electrifying charger 1 and a transfer charger 2. An exhaust fan 4 is provided on the upper wall of a heat roller fixing device. An exhaust opening is provided on the back plate of each of the electrifying charger 1 and the transfer charger 2. Each of ducts 3a and 3b, in the form of bellows, is provided between its corresponding opening and the negative pressure producing chamber 12 provided on the suction side of the exhaust fan 4, to discharge air which contains ozone reduced by each charger. The ducts 3a and 3b for discharging ozone are connected to the negative pressure producing chamber 12 via the gently-widened, bell-mouth-like tube 12. Thus, ozone can be satisfactorily discharged. |
