PURPOSE:To minimize a space required for installing a console panel and to improve operability by providing an input key, a cam, a slide detecting means, a pair of rotating direction detecting means and a control part. CONSTITUTION:A plate-like cam 5 is coaxially and firmly fixed to a shaft 6, and projections 5a and 5b are formed on the outer periphery of the cam 5. Microswitches 4a and 4b are disposed in the vicinity of the projections 5a and 5b of the console panel 3. When the cam 5 rotates clockwise, the microswitch 4a disposed at the right side of front of the cam 5 comes into contact with the projection 5a and operates to detect the clockwise rotation of the input key 2. On the other hand, when the cam rotates counterclockwise, the microswitch 4a at the left side of the console panel comes into contact with the projection 5b and operates to detect the counterclockwise rotation of the input key 2. In response to the operation of either the microswitch 4a or 4b, the control part increases or decreases the number of copies set, and instructs a copying machine to perform a copying action based on the operation of a push switch 7. Thus, a space required for installing the console panel 3 is minimized, and operability is enhanced. |
