PURPOSE:To prevent a patient, an operator and an apparatus itself from energizing electricity even when a high frequency electric current for hemostasis is energized in an ultrasonic vibration transmitting member by forming an electrical insulation layer at least one of an outer peripheral face of the ultrasonic vibration transmitting member or an inner peripheral face of a sheath. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic vibration transmitting member 11 and a sheath 16 with which this member is covered are provided. An ultrasonic vibration is transmitted to a treated part in a living body and hemostasis of the treated part is performed by energizing a high frequency electric current. An electric insulation layer 21 is formed on at least one of an outer peripheral face of the member or an inner peripheral face of the sheath 16. As the result, even when a high frequency electrical current for hemostasis is energized in the ultrasonic vibration transmitting member, it is possible to prevent a patient, an operator or an apparatus itself from energizing electricity and to perform safely a treatment. |
