A disc evaluating apparatus comprising a master tape player for playing back a master tape where an original signal to be used in a disc cutting step is recorded, a disc player for playing back a disc member, a sync signal generator for producing a reference sync signal from a reference clock signal and supplying such sync signal to both the master tape player and the disc player, and a controller for simultaneously controlling the operations of the master tape player and the disc player. The master tape and the disc member having the same content signals recorded thereon are played back in exact synchronism with each other, so that the information recorded on the disc member can be simultaneously compared with the information on the master tape. <IMAGE> |
