A method for transferring an image from an image transfer medium onto an image receiving member and an apparatus therefor are disclosed. The method comprises exposing imagewise a colored light-sensitive material comprising a transparent support and provided thereon a colored light-sensitive layer; developing the exposed material to obtain an image transfer medium having an image; setting an image receiving member on a silicone rubber layer provided on a rotatable sheet carrying member; superposing the image transfer medium on the image receiving member; and pressing the image transfer medium and the image receiving member onto the silicone rubber layer provided on the sheet carrying member by a pressing member while rotating the sheet carrying member. |
