PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of a white ground and the generation of the desilvering detect even if the replenishing amt. of a color developing soln. is decreased by processing the silver halide photographic sensitive material which contains specific compds. in at least one layer of silver halide emulsion layers and is specific in the total atm. of the hydrophilic binder incorporated therein by the color developing soln. having the specific replenishing amt. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide photographic sensitive material which contains the compds. expressed by formula I in at least one layer of the silver halide emulsion layers and has <=7.5g/m<2> total amt. of the hydrophilic binder incorporated therein is processed by the color developing soln. having 25 to 100ml replenishing amt. of the color developing soln. per 1m<2> silver halide photographic sensitive material. In the formula I, A denotes -N=, etc.; R1 to R4 denotes a substd. or unsubstd. alkyl group, etc.; R5 denotes a substituent; X1, X2 denote a hydrogen atom or -SO3M group; M denotes a hydrogen atom or the atom or atom group forming a water soluble salt. The total sum of the -SO3M group in the compds. is 1 to 6. The deterioration of the white ground and the generation of the desilvering defect are prevented in this way even if the replenishing amt. of the color developing soln. decreases.
