<p>The ball of a towbar is rigidly connected to the socket (44) of a trailer arm by a pivot (48) extending through the socket wall (46) into a bore (36) provided in the ball (34). The ball (34) is located at the top of an L-shaped member (32). Coil springs (38, 40) are provided on either side of the L-shaped member to bias against lateral movement of the L-shaped member.
