The shopping trolley has a travel chassis tapering in the pushing direction and supporting a basket whose rear wall hinges inwards to allow nesting together with similar trolleys. A holding portion on the chassis protruding in front of the front wheels accommodates a hinging bottom grille resting on the chassis. Each holding portion (11) has an opening (12) in the top surface (13), while below the opening is a space (14) accommodating part of a Z-shaped forward end (17) of a grille bar. The max. angle for which the grille (15) can swing upwards is less than that (B) formed by the bar end. USE/ADVANTAGE - The grille cannot be removed from the chassis once the basket is fixed in place.
