PROCESS AND DEVICE FOR DISSOLVING HIGH-PURITY ZINC IN AN ELECTROLYTE
摘要
In order to dissolve high-purity zinc in an electrolyte, high-purity zinc is atomized into a chamber where it is brought into contact with the electrolyte. A high rate of dissolution of the high-purity zinc in weakly acidic electrolytes is obtained. A device for implementing the process comprises a tower-shaped chamber (1) into which the electrolyte is introduced from above. The molten zinc from a zinc-melting station (3) arranged upstream of the device is atomized by a nozzle device (31, 32) into the lower region of said chamber. An electrolytic bath (2) containing the dissolved high-purity maintained at the bottom of the chamber (1) can be drained through a discharge pipe (12). The high-purity zinc can be burned to produce zinc oxide powder in an intermediate stage to which oxygen is supplied.
