A sieve for a pressure sorting device for fibre suspensions which has a frame symmetrical in rotation to a sieve axis and the wall of the sieve of which is fitted with sieve aperture channels connecting the inlet and the outlet sides of the sieve and with recesses on its inlet and outlet side into which the sieve aperture channels open, in which, in order to improve the throughput efficiency of the sieve, simplify its production, attain a long useful life for the sieve and generate turbulence on the inlet side, each of the inlet recesses extends over several aperture channels and takes the form of a groove running transversely to the sieve periphery, there is a recess for each sieve aperture channel on the sieve outlet side, and in which the largest width of the recesses on the outlet side is at least as great as the largest width of the grooves on the inlet side. |
