PURPOSE:To accurately position a superconducting coil with respect to a vacuum chamber by making the vacuum chamber separable and mounting the superconducting coil adjustably on one separate part of the vacuum chamber. CONSTITUTION:A superconducting coil 4 is fixed to a coolant container 15a, which is supported on an upper container 11a by an axial rod 16 and first and second radial rods 17 and 18. When assembling the coil 4, its body 19 is mounted on the upper container 11a, separated from the lower container 11b. The gap 1 between the upper container 11a and the inner cylinder of the coolant container 15a is measured to check the positional deviation of the coil body 19 with respect to a vacuum chamber 11. Then, the position of the coil body 19 is corrected by adjusting nuts to bring the coil 4 to the right position with respect to the vacuum chamber 11. |
