The transportable moulder is for creating a profiled end surface on the ends of profiled rod-like workpieces of wood, plastics, metal, etc. The moulder with a drive is fixed with the aid of sledge (4) movable parallel to the cut surface beneath a base plate. The cutting head (5) is led to the workpiece in a slit opening (7) in the base plate (8) which is covered over the whole working range of the workpiece. USE/ADVANTAGE - The moulder can work the ends of longitudinally profiled workpieces so that they can fit together accurately.
