<p>PURPOSE:To output data except for a character and output for a character pattern in parallel and to speed up the switching of a screen by overlapping the serial-converted character pattern with display data in a control circuit. CONSTITUTION:Video RAM 25 inputs display data DA1 except for the character required for constituting one screen, to a display device 2 together with a control signal. Character code RAM 8 stores all small character strings required for constituting one screen by character codes. A character generator CG sequentially develops the character codes into the character patterns. The serial- converted character pattern DA2 is overlapped with display data DA1 in the control circuit 9. Consequently, the development of information except for the characters, the output of display data DA1 to the display device 2 and the development of the character codes into the character patterns can be proceeded in parallel. Consequently, the screen of an electronic type multiple item input device can be switched at high speed.</p> |
