PURPOSE:To simplify the entire constitution by forming a processing part, which obtains parameters and data for plotting by operation and sets obtained parameters and data to counters and registers, in software. CONSTITUTION:A microprocessor 1 presets start point coordinates of a memory 3 to coordinate counters 4 and 5 and calculates increment absolute values in X-axis and Y-axis directions. These values are compared with each other; and when the increment absolute value in the X-axis direction is larger, information indicating that the X axis is major axis and the Y axis is the minor axis is set to a set register 13. The value in the Y-axis direction is divided by that in the X-axis direction, and the absolute value of the inclination smaller than one is set to an inclination register 9, and the value in the X-axis direction is set to an unplotted length counter 8. When the setting operation of counters 4,5, and 8 and registers 9 and 13 is terminated, a clock is outputted from a plotting clock generator 12 to plot a segment on a display device. Thus, the flexibility of plotting processing is improved with the simple constitution. |
