PURPOSE:To adjust the hue of a display screen by altering contents stored in a color conversion memory in a display device equipped with the color conversion memory which converts codes representative of hue for each picture element into the brightness levels of three primary colors. CONSTITUTION:The display device 11 is mounted on a vehicle and displays a various types of information in color. A display memory 13 stores one screen of picture information, and outputs codes representative of hue for each picture element to the color conversion memory 14. The color conversion memory 14 outputs combinations of brightness levels of three primary colors for each code, and a driving circuit 15 displays a color picture on a color display means 16. An arithmetic unit 17 related to the color conversion memory 14 is provided and incorporates a reference value memory 18 and a changing quantity memory 19. An input device 20 alters the changing quantity of the brightness level for each color in the changing quantity memory 19, and the reference values of the brightness levels of three primary colors in the reference value memory 18 are calculated with respect to the altered color. Then, the contents stored in the color conversion memory 14 are modified to adjust hue. |
