A mechanical pedal device which lifts up the toilet seat when downward pressure is applied by a foot on the pedal. The device comprises a pedal 1, a gearing, means for fixing the device to either the toilet brim or elsewhere, means for connecting the device to the toilet seat, a protective cover 4 encasing the gearing, a mechanism allowing only slow, controlled movement of the seat, a recoil system pushing the seat from its upright to the horizontal position, means for fixing the seat in, and releasing it from, the upright position, and an easy-release clip device 5 attaching seat-cover to seat. <IMAGE> |
