PURPOSE:To improve the throttle response by forming a first bypass passage which makes a detour around a throttle valve installed in the independent intake passage in each cylinder and in which a passage system is throttled and a second bypass passage in which a check valve and a control valve are installed. CONSTITUTION:In a four cylinder engine, independent intake passages 4 (4a-4b) are connected independently with the intake port of each cylinder 2, and an exhaust passage 6 is connected with an exhaust port. The upstream edge of each independent intake passage 4 is connected with a surge tank 7 and collected. A throttle valve 8 and an injector 10 are arranged midway in each independent intake passage 4. In this case, first and second bypass passages 14 and 15 which make a detour around the throttle valve 8 and an auxiliary valve 9 in a common intake passage 4' are installed. A throttle 16 is formed in the vicinity of the opened port part for each independent intake passage 4, in the first bypass passage 14, and a check valve 17 and a bypass air control valve 18 arranged in the branched part of the first bypass passage 14 are installed in the second bypass passage 15. |
