PURPOSE: To fit a head harness to a gas mask by providing a tongue part made of a plurality of elastic woven fabrics along a front end line at intervals, and forming the harness as a recessed type having such outline dimensions as exactly capped to a human head of ordinary size in a relaxed state. CONSTITUTION: A harness 22 is formed as a coif or a closed cap for covering the top, back and both sides of a head. The coif 2 is made of elastic fabric stretchable along two axial directions. In addition, the coif is recessed in a relaxed state and have a shape to be exactly capped to a human head of ordinary size. Also, the harness 22 is formed to have a front end periphery 24, and this front end periphery 24 has two tongues 26 as well as two lateral tongues 26 near the top of the harness 22. All of the tongues 26 are projected toward a mask and fixed to mask fitting positions. |
