<p>PURPOSE:To suppress the leakage of magnetic flux and to increase output voltage without increasing the size of an ignition coil by a method wherein cores are composed of an inner core which will be housed in a primary coil and an outer core which will be arranged around the coil adjacent to both ends of the inner core through the intermediary of a pair of permanent magnets which generate magnetic flux in the direction opposite to the magnetic flux of the primary coil. CONSTITUTION:The title ignition coil is equipped with cores 11 and 13, a primary coil 21 and a secondary coil 22 which are wound around the cores 11 to 13. In an ignition coil 1 for an internal combustion engine in which high voltage is induced on the secondare coil 22 by applying a current intermittently on the primary coil, the cores 11 to 13 are provided adjacent to the internal core 11 to be housed in the primary coil 21 through the intermediary of a pair of permanent magnets 18 and 19 which generate magnetic flux in the opposite direction of the magnetic flux; and at the same time, outer cores 12 and 13, which will be arranged around the primary coil 21 and the secondary coil 22, are provided. As a result, the change of interlinking magnetic field of the secondary coil becomes larger by the presence of the magnetic flux of the permanent magnets, and also as the permanent magnets are provided at both ends of the inner core, the leakage of magnetic flux is suppressed, and output voltage becomes high.</p> |
