<p>PURPOSE:To increase both yield in cutting a ground fabric for rope cords and the strength of sewed-on sections as well as to lessen parts in number, and thereby make an air bag more compact and light in weight by making up the rope cords out of paired single rope cords, and thereby letting the overall sewed-on sections of the single rope cords be over-lapped. CONSTITUTION:In an air bag 3, the overall sewed-on sections 6f and 6f of paired single rope cords 61 and 62 are over-lapped, and are concurrently connected with a ground fabric 3a at the over-lapped sections by means of sewing-on (a). Accordingly, the strength of the sewed-on sections is comparatively great, furthermore, the overall sewed-on sections for respective single rope cords are mutually over-lapped, the respective single rope cords can thereby be easily aligned in position. In addition, a rope cords 6 is made up out of a pair of identical shaped single rope cords 61 and 62. This thereby enables the ground fabric to be cut while its fabrication yield is increased when the single rope cords 61 and 62 are fabricated. Furthermore, 2 pairs of connecting leg sections 6g, 6g,... are joined together into a cruciform to form the rope cord 6 by the use of the paired single rope cords 61 and 62, the rope cord 6 can be fabricated with comparatively less parts used in number while much less processes are involved, the air bag 3 can thereby be made lighter in weigh and more compact.</p> |
