PURPOSE:To improve the quality of a ceramic element by using a fusion preventive material previously heat-treated at a specified temp. and having the same composition as the element or added with the main component of the element to sinter the element. CONSTITUTION:On hundred pts.wt. of a fusion preventive material such as ZrO2 and 1-30 pts.wt. of the same composition as the ceramic element or the main component of the element are weighted and sufficiently mixed in a polyethylene pot. The mixed powder is discharged from the pot, packed in an Al2 O3-based sheath and heat-treated at a temp. 50 deg.C higher than the burning temp. of the ceramic element to form a fusion preventive material. The fusion preventive material is thinly spread on a ceramic element sintering sheath, a ceramic material is placed thereon, the fusion preventive material is further sprinkled lightly thereon, and the materials are sheathed. The mixture is sintered at a specified temp. to obtain the sintered ceramic element. |
