PURPOSE:To improve the sharpness of a formed dye image by using a specified percentage of normal crystalline silver halide particles in a (green) sensitive silver halide emulsion layer positioned farthest from a support. CONSTITUTION:A color photosensitive silver halide material is manufactured by forming blue, green and red sensitive negative type photosensitive silver halide emulsion layers on a support, and >=80% of all the silver halide particles contained in the green sensitive silver halide emulsion layer positioned farthest from the support or in the green sensitive silver halide emulsion layer and the farthest photosensirive silver halide emulsion layer when the green sensitive layer is not positioned farthest from the support are composed of normal crystalline silver halide particles having octahedral and/or tetradecahedral regular crystal form. The external crystal habit of the silver halide crystals appears only at the[100 faces and/or the[111]faces. Thus, scattering in the silver halide emulsion layers reduced, so the sharpness of an image can be enhanced. |
