摘要 |
PURPOSE:To finish a welding bead giving no damage to a base metal and no abrasion of a contact piece by obtaining the height of the welding bead by scanning with an optical displacement sensor and once controlling the reciprocating motion speed of a tool head correspondingly to the height of the welding bead. CONSTITUTION:An optical displacement sensor 7 is vertically disposed on a base metal 2 having no welding bead 3 so that the height Hmin of the base metal 2 to its upper face is detected. Then, the optical displacement sensor 7 scans the direction of section of the welding bead 3 to detect the height Hmax of the welding bead 3 to its top. These detected values are fed to a judging device so that the height H of the welding bead is obtained by taking H=Hmax -Hmin. The obtained value is sent to a separately provided controller such as a robot. An optimum moving speed V is determined based on the height H of the welding bead which is obtained from the measured results and the relation of V = f(H) which is previously obtained from preliminary experiments. A grinder 6 is inclined to a prescribed inclination theta at this speed V to perform a grinding operation. |
