PURPOSE:To improve high-density recording characteristics by reducing a recording current by applying high-frequency heating to conventional recording in combination. CONSTITUTION:On the reverse surface of a magnetic recording medium 11, a conductor 12 is arranged, and the magnetic recording medium 11 is heated at a high frequency by a microwave oscillator 13. A magnetic head 14 records a signal on the magnetic recording medium in a heated state. Consequently, a recording current is reduced to improve high-density recording characteristics. |
