PURPOSE:A cosmetic, containing a water-soluble germanium in a cosmetic such as a cream, milky lotion, soap or toilet water, capable of exhibiting the medicinal effect on reaction with an enzyme or vitamin presen in the skin or contained in the cosmetic, and having improved make-up effects without side effects. CONSTITUTION:A cosmetic containing a water-soluble germanium contained in a cosmetic such as a cream, milky lotion, soap or toilet water. The cosmetic base may be either one of an aqueous or oily ones. In the case of the oily base, a surfactant is preferably added thereto with water containing the germanium ions under thorough stirring. The concentration of the germanium mineral may be several-tenths - several ppm in case effects are expected by the continuous use for a long term by adding to an ordinary cosmetic. In the case of medicinal use, the concentration is practically about 10-1,000ppm. |
