摘要 PURPOSE:To realize thermal improvement of a slow-wave circuit, and enable the length of the said circuit to be saved by constituting a high-frequency attenuator by use of a coaxial attenuator consisting of an inner conductor, an outer conductor and a Ross body. CONSTITUTION:Two coaxial attenuators each consisting of an inner conductor 11, an outer conductor 12 and a Ross body 13 are arranged in a part of axial space, while keeping a certain angle of shift between them in the radial cross section, thereby forming an input-side and an output-side high-frequency attenuators. Since the Ross body 13 of the coaxial attenuator may be prepared from a material having a high power-resisting performance such as ceramics treated with carbon, and the inner and the outer conductors 11 and 12 may be brazed to a vacuum encircling case 2, the power-resisting performance of the attenuator can be increased. Besides, since a sufficient matching characteristic can be obtained by adjusting the length of the coaxial high-frequency attenuator to about the length of a free space wave, the length of the tubular bulb can be shortened.
