PURPOSE:To measure the presence position of the vehicle, etc., and its three- dimensional behavior at the position by observing >=2 reference line stripes provided on a path by two television cameras. CONSTITUTION:At least two image photographing means 1a and 1b which are provided on the vehicle 10 at a specific intervals in the traveling direction of the vehicle 10 or in the opposite direction photograph at least two reference line stripes L1 and L2 provided along the path 11 where the vehicle travels and record image information in an image recording means 2. The recorded image information is restored to an image including the line stripe bodies L1 and L2 directly or indirectly in two dimensions. Then an image processing means 4 extracts image parts regarding the line stripe bodies L1 and L2 from the restored image including the line stripe bodies L1 and L2. A linear expression in a two-dimensional plane is calculated as to the image parts regarding the line stripe bodies L1 and L2. Further, a three-dimensional function linear expression regarding the line stripe bodies L1 and L2 is calculated from the linear expression. Then information regarding the behavior state of the vehicle 10 is calculated from the three-dimensional function linear expression. |
