PURPOSE:To improve adherence of casting by plating coil-shape linear made of metal wire wound compactly with metal having a melting point corresponding to or lower than of a cylinder block material, boring it after casting of cylinder block parent metal is done. CONSTITUTION:Coil-shape liner 1 made of metal wire wound compactly is plated with metal having a melting point corresponding to or lower than that of the melting point of a cylinder block material 3. Then the coil-shape liner 1 is casted with the cylinder block parent metal 3 so that the casted side of the coil- shape liner 1 is melted due to casting heat, and the casted side is melted with the cylinder block parent metal 3 to form alloy layer 2A. Consequently, the complete adherence condition is obtained between the liner 1 and the cylinder block parent metal 3. Then abrasion finishing is applied to the circumferential inner face of the liner 1. It is preferable to impregnate self-lubrication material between the metal wires before and during the finishing. |
