A transport package in the form of a cage-like box comprises a pallet (1), four protective corners (6,7,8,9) and a top plate (10), which are held together by folded edge plates (15,16,17,18,19), loops (20,21) and angled plates (22,23,24,25). The under side of the pallet is provided with feet (2,3,4,5) fixed thereto, which are formed as straight tubes of rectangular cross section.
