<p>PURPOSE:To obtain superior photosensitivity without deteriorating dark decay characteristics by incorporating a specified N-hydroxyimido compound in a photoconductive layer as the sensitizer of an inorganic photoconductor. CONSTITUTION:The photoconductive layer contains the N-hydroxyimido compound represented by formula I in which Z is an organic group capable of forming a cyclic compound having a saturated or unsaturated bond. The compound is contained in an amount of 0.001 - 10wt.% of the photoconductor, and if <0.001wt.%, a sensitization effect becomes poor, and if >10wt.%, the sensitization of effect is not increased so much, thus permitting photosensitivity, electric chargeability, and dark potential stability to be enhanced, and superior photosensitive to be enlarged to an infrared region from the visible wavelength region.</p> |
