PURPOSE: To selectively separate aromatic compds. from satd. compds. by forming a separation membrane with a crosslinked copolymer obtd. by bringing a specified aliphatic polyester diol and an acid clianhydride into reaction with a diisocyanate crosslinking agent. CONSTITUTION: An aliphatic polyester diol selected from polyadipic ester, polysuccinic ester, polymalonic ester, polyoxalic ester and polyglutaric ester diols and an 8-20C acid dianhydride are copolymerized in the presence of a 4-30C diisocyanate crosslinking agent to synthesize a copolymer. This copolymer is dissolved in a solvent and the resultant soln. is cast on a support, dried and immersed in water to peel the formed membrane from the support. A mixture of arom. compds. with nonarom. compds. is brought into contact with one face of the membrane to carry out the selective permeation and separation of the arom. compds. |
