PURPOSE:To obtain a color picture of high quality by providing perforations along the side edge of a belt-like image forming body and providing guide rails, which project in the form of streaks, inside the belt-like image forming body. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive belt 1 regulates perforations P so that they can engage with the teeth of sprockets gears S1 and S2, by roughly guiding the belt 1 along the guide rail G and in the carrying direction. Eventually the photosensitive belt 1 carries an image surface always at a fixed position by means of the sprocket gears S1 and S2. Because of the mutual guide function of the coation of the guide rails G, turning rollers 2 and 3, guide member 4, and sprocket gears S1 and S2 and perforations P, the photosensitive belt 1 turns always in the correct carrying direction without the occurrence of sideways motion. Thus, highly accurate superimposition of images is achieved, and a color picture of excellent picture quality is obtained although the device is compact. |
