PURPOSE:To let differential limiting function be concurrently performed, and thereby simplify a configuration by providing a plurality of sun gears and pinions as transfer elements on one output side of an epicyclic gear type center differential gear, forming these gears into helical ones, and thereby specifying the twisting angles of them. CONSTITUTION:In a center differential gear 50 arranged coaxially with the output shaft 15 from an automatic transmission, the end section of the output shaft 15 is formed with No.1 sun gear 51 having a large diameter, and a rear drive shaft 20 is formed with No.2 sun gear 53 having a small diameter. In the second place, No.1 and No.2 pinion 52 and 54 on a pinion member 55 rotatably supported by a carrier 56 are meshed with these sun gears 51 and 52. These sun gears 51 and 52 and pinions 52 and 54 are formed into helical ones wherein the twisting angles of them are set in such a way that the difference in thrust load acting on respective meshing points acts on one end faces of the pinions 52 and 54 so that the composite force of separating and tangential loads acting on the respective gear meshing points is so constituted as to act on the bearings of the respective pinions 52 and 54.
