<p>PURPOSE:To enhance the vibratory isolation of a discharge lamp and also the durability of a lead by securing the tip of either of the pinch seals to a lead support, nd by making the supporting with a metal band wound on the pinch seal. CONSTITUTION:A discharge lamp device is equipped with a discharge lamp 1, in which a pinch seal 4 is protruded at each end of a glass tube 3 having a discharging space 2 provided with discharge electrodes 6a apart from each other and also a protruded lead 7 which is connected to the electrode 56a from the external end face of the pinch seal 4. This discharge lamp device is also equipped with a lamp holder 8 which is provided with a long and a short lead support 15, 14 and in which the leads 7 of the lamp 1 are connected individually to the tips of these supports. A metal band 23 consisting of a conductive metal plate is fixed to the tip of the longer lead support 15 and wound on the tip of one of the pinch seals 4, and the lead led out of the seal 4 is connected to this band 23.</p> |
