The invention relates to a system for remotely controlling the starting and stopping of an electronic stopwatch based on 1 to 3 infrared photoelectric barriers with mixed link to the stopwatch by cables and radio. With the same system, the signals from the photoelectric barriers are relayed to the stopwatch equally well by cables and by radio. In addition to its stopwatch control function, the system provides for the supply and battery charging functions. As represented in the sketch, the system consists of 1 to 3 infrared photoelectric barriers with radio transmitter, a triple radio receiver, a charger supply cabinet and various cables. With an electronic stopwatch, the system of the invention can be used for the timing of numerous sports events. It is particularly well suited to equestrian showjumping competition. <IMAGE> |
