摘要 The driving force arrives on the planet gear 2 and drives the rotor parts 3, 4, 5 of the hydraulic pumps 50 and 60 and is transmitted to the crown wheel 7 secured to the body part 8 to 13 of the pumps 50 and 60, the spider 15 bearing on the resistance to advancement. The pump 50 is a variable-output pump so that when its output is the same as that of the pump 60 there is a neutral point. It is by decreasing the output of the pump 50 that the transmission takes place because the only way that the pump 60 can decrease its output is to decrease its absolute rotational speed by acceleration of the crown wheel 7 which entrains with it the spider gears 6 and therefore the spider 15 which causes the vehicle to advance. Given that the pump body accelerates its rotation in the same way as the crown wheel 7, the output of the pumps 50 and 60 decreases in pace with the acceleration until they stop rotating, this is the first gear. During transmission, a certain pressure is set up between the pumps 50 and 60, this is the transmission pressure; it automatically regulates the maximum transmission ratio necessary for overcoming resistance to advancement, by acting on the system which serves to vary the output of the pump 50. The transmission force passes via the reversing gear 70 to be transmitted to the axle assembly by the pinion 19.
