PURPOSE:To eliminate bending sections of a heat exchanger pipe and improve an assembling efficiency of a heat exchanger and enhance a heat transfer fluid characteristic by installing bellows, whose circumferences are in a gas region, around the shell of the heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION:Heat exchanger pipes 2 of a heat exchanger comprise straight pipes without bending. To absorb differential thermal expansion in place of heat exchanger bent pipes, bellows 4 are installed in a shell 3. The circumferences of the bellows are arranged to be in a gas region in construction. When a differential temperature is produced between the heat exchanger pipes 2 and the shell 3, the bellows 4 on the shell 3 are deformed, depending on the differential temperature thus produced, thereby absorbing the resultant thermal expansion. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the generation of excessive thermal stress on the heat exchanger pipes 2 and the shell 3. This construction makes it possible to eliminate bending sections to absorb thermal expansion against the heat exchanger pipes 2, and improve the assembling efficiency of the heat exchanger and enhance the heat transfer fluid performance of the heat exchanger as well. |
