The invention relates to improvements applied to the electrical measurement transformer, the subject of the main patent FR 88/08555. More precisely, the invention relates to such an electrical measurement transformer, single phase or multi-phase, such as a current transformer, having a primary side (2) and a secondary side (3), including at least one switchable winding (5), defining a transformer ratio i1/i2 and consequently its range of use, as well as means for adapting the secondary configuration of the transformer (1) depending on the range of use chosen, which carry out at least the switching of the winding or windings (5) according to the chosen range, these said means (6) including means (7, 8, 9) for causing the short-circuiting of at least one part of the secondary winding (5) during the said adaptation. Moreover, the transformer includes means (10) for protection against accidental short-circuits of the voltage pick off circuit of the phase or phases, able furthermore to allow isolation of the said voltage circuit. <IMAGE>
