PURPOSE:To improve the high-voltage, high-capacity and high-rate charge/ discharge characteristics by forming a negative electrode with a carbonic material applied with expansion treatment. CONSTITUTION:A negative electrode is obtained by carbonizing or graphitizing an organism, numerous cracks are generated between layers, and an active material is stored in a carbonic material largely expanded in the C-axis direc tion. Coal pitch carbon fibers (spacing d<002>=3.37Angstrom ) are immersed in a complex solution mixed and stirred with naphthalene and metallic lithium at the 1:1 mol% in tetrahydrofuran, for example, they are reacted in the inert gas atmo sphere, then it is washed with tetrahydrofuran as a residual compound, and it is quickly heat-treated at a high temperature near 1,000 deg.C. |
