PURPOSE:To obtain the magnetic alloy having high saturation magnetic flux density, low coercive force and high magnetic permeability as well as excellent heat stability and corrosion resistance by specifying the compsn. constituted of Fe, N and Si. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic alloy is the one expressed by a compositional formula constituted of FexNySi2 where, by atomic %, 1<=y<=20, 0.5(R)z<= 15 and x+y+z=100 are satisfied or the one expressed by a compositional formula of FexNySizMv where M denotes Cr, Ru or their mixture and 1<=y<=20, 0.5<=z<=15 and 0.3<=v<=3 are satisfied as well ad the relationship of x+y+z+v=100, which has high saturation magnetic flux density, low coercive force and high magnetic permeability as well as excellent heat stability and corrosion resistance. By using the above magnetic alloy, a thin film magnetic head having high capacity or the like can be obtd. |
