PURPOSE:To improve efficiency for a picture forming operation once reciprocatively moving an optics or an original platen by wholly executing the size detecting, density detecting and copying operations of an original. CONSTITUTION:An optics 2 or an original platen 1 is moved on an outgoing path from a first home position 6 to a second home position 7 and the density of an original 4 is detected by an original density detector 5. The optics 2 or the original platen 1 is moved on an incoming path from the position 7 to the position 6, the picture forming operation is executed and the optics 2 or the original platen 1 is returned to the position 6. |
