PURPOSE:To absorb a load variation without damage due to temperature rise of a pulse motor and to obtain a high positioning accuracy by providing a plurality of different current flowing zones within stopping period during intermittently feeding, and supplying a maximum current in a first zone immediately after stopping to drive. CONSTITUTION:When a pulse motor 8 is used to quantitatively and intermittently feed a record sheet, a plurality of different current flowing zones are provided in a stopping period during intermittently feeding, and a maximum current is supplied in a first zone immediately after stopping to drive. A microcomputer 26 outputs a control signal to a pulse motor driving IC 27 and driving current control elements (Tr1, Tr2) 33, 34. The IC 27 detects currents flowing to the phases of the motor 8 at both end voltages of current detecting resistors (RSA, RSB) 28, 29, chops to supply the current until it becomes the same as a compared voltage VREF formed by voltage dividing resistors (R1, R2) 30, 31, and controls to supply a constant current. |
