Sealed fish for packing foodstuff - has cover with its edges folded over edges of dish flanges

A liq. tight and gas tight packing is made in the form of a shallow rectangular dish with a cover. The dish is made from a sheet of thin cardboard coated with plastics material which enables the cover to be heat sealed to the dish flanges. The dish is made from a rectangular blank. This is folded to form sloping side walls and there are turned-out flanges (17) to (20), the edges of which form continuous lines with the sides of the square areas (21) to (24) at the dish corners. This feature enables a rectangular cover to be fitted with the edges of the cover folded over the edges of the dish. USE - Packing of foodstuff in dish with cover sealed on top.
